Southern Escapes provides quality personal care, assisted living, and respite services in a private home, by trained staff. On 2 acres of manicured laws, Southern Escapes offers a home like environment with a residency level set at six so each of the residents can get their own individual attention. The cost per bed is considerably low when compared to other large assisted living centers with 10-60 beds. Our staff ratio is low, so the staff gets to know the residents' needs better, unlike in facilities where the staff rotates in shifts. Southern Escapes staff is also trained to deal with Medically Fragile, Alzheimer’s, developmental disabilities, and mental retardation residents.
Spiritual growth for any resident is important, and Southern Escapes understands that just pharmaceutical medicines won’t help in their overall health. Churches and temples are social and religious centers that most residents have been to all their lives and we would love for them to continue doing so. Most of our Christian residents love to go to church on Sundays. This gives them an opportunity to prepare and dress up for the occasion and get a great outing on our handicapped-accessible bus. Families are allowed to pick up their family member for the special social and/or religious functions any time of the day. Interactive social and physical activities are planned for the residents as requested.
