Home Away From Home (G) Residential Care Home

In our private care homes 2-4 people share a house, (we call them families) with a 24-hour staff person. Private care homes differ from the larger assisted living facilities or nursing homes in that the ratio of care

givers to family members is greater. All meals are home cooked, nutritious and served at the dining room table in a family atmosphere. We Pride ourselves in making your family members feel that Home Away From Home is truly their Home,regardless of the length of stay.

For instance if a family member wants popcorn at 2:00am, you will hear it

popping just like at home. Laundry is done on site, along with medication reminders, assistance with baths, showers, and feeding.

A full service kitchen is available where families can fix that special meal just for their loved one. Home Away From Home care givers prepare home cooked and nutritious meals taking into account dietary needs

and requirements.

Residents bring essentials, mementos, clothing, pictures, decorations and small items - even a favorite chair.We provide a closet, dresser and bedside table in every room.We provide free cable hook up. There is a

telephone jack at every bedside. You may provide a telephone and subscribe to the service of you choice.  As a member of the family of Home Away From Home you are always welcome to come in prepare a special meal, style your loved ones hair, do laundry, cook , bring in a meal for the family, decorate during holidays  and whatever special things you would do at your loved ones home.  Remember we are an extension of you and we are family and our motto is : "It takes an entire Village to care for those who built it"
