"The place you recommended looks perfect. This place has a view of the water. They have fountains (small ponds) in the yard which would be very peaceful and a vegetable garden. Orchids are all over the house so mom would love that and her room has a view of the Sound. They document everything. The menu is very healthy and the place is as clean as can be. Loving Care Cottage is a small full service assisted living in a residential home. Our emphasis is on serving cognitively impaired seniors, such as those with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia's. The small size of the home and the family atmosphere lend themselves to a feeling of safety, familiarity and comfort. The high staff to patient ratio allows for lots of 1:1 attention and tremendous success in dealing with behaviors related to dementia.

 Loving Care Cottage is owned and operated by an RN with 15 years experience working with seniors, 5 of which were on a senior behavioral health unit. The experience showed her that many seniors with dementia have a difficult time functioning at their full potential in a large setting. Loving Care Cottage addresses the need for a smaller setting with very personalized care. There are 2 staff on at all times during the day, and we offer several opportunities to participate in group or individual activities designed for those with cognitive impairments.

Loving Care Cottage is a perfect choice for those who deserve dignified family style living in a small setting.
