"Thanks for your concern. As you can imagine, we have been going and going and going. Nellie is supposed to move into her new home today. We have seen a great change in her over the last few weeks. She is so much more alert and responsive. The support groups we have met through your organization have been a true blessing. There is no way we could have acquired (or even recognized the need for) the help of all the people who will improve the quality of Nellie's new life style. I thank the Lord for sending us your way."

"I can’t tell you how much I truly appreciate your help and support. We are so excited to go to Phoenix next week and bring Dad home. I’ve told him about Rod and the home he is moving into but I’m sure he thinks I’m pulling the wool over his eyes. Thanks again for all of your caring and support. It means a lot."

"I can't thank you enough for the time you spent with me and your words of wisdom. At a time when I was entering an unknown world, your guidance was invaluable and allowed me to make intelligent choices regarding my mother. I can't think of anything more that you could have done for me. You always returned my calls right away (even on Sunday), when I was desperate for information and advice. You were able to explain the ways of the hospitals, nursing homes, insurance, etc. Again, thank you...I don't know what I would have done without you."

-- Janice P.

Residential Care Home

Hazel's Light (G) Residential Care Home
What do we do?
Hazel's Light is for people who need help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), but wish to live as independently as possible. Residents are not able to live by themselves safely, but do not require constant nursing care.
Hazel's Light offers assistance with ADLs such as eating, bathing, dressing, laundry, housekeeping, and medication. This is not an alternative to a nursing home, but an intermediate level of care appropriate for many elders.

Christian Environment
At Hazel's Light, we believe that a connection to the Great Mystery brings health and happiness. Out of that connection springs a desire to pray, worship, and serve.
Julia, our owner and manager, is an ordained minister with 19 years of experience. Worship, prayer meetings, and scripture study are available to all.
Julia is also a Licensed Massage Therapist (MT022156) and does healing work. Weekly massage or healing sessions are available to residents without any added fee.
We comply with all federal, state, and city regulations that apply to "Class A" assisted living. This includes a full-time manager, a 24/7 caregiver, and a fire prevention sprinkler system.
Our caregivers are trained monthly. We also provide education for families of residents.
Safety, care, and quality of life are the highest priorities at Hazel's Light. We provide excellent meals, a clean house, amenities to improve access to rooms and restrooms, and a family atmosphere.
