What do we do?Hazel's Light is for people who need help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), but wish to live as independently as possible. Residents are not able to live by themselves safely, but do not require constant nursing care.
Hazel's Light offers assistance with ADLs such as eating, bathing, dressing, laundry, housekeeping, and medication. This is not an alternative to a
nursing home, but an intermediate level of care appropriate for many elders.
Christian Environment
At Hazel's Light, we believe that a connection to the Great Mystery brings health and happiness. Out of that connection springs a desire to pray, worship, and serve.
Julia, our owner and manager, is an
ordained minister with 19 years of experience. Worship, prayer meetings, and scripture study are available to all.
Julia is also a
Licensed Massage Therapist (MT022156) and does healing work. Weekly massage or healing sessions are available to residents without any added fee.
We comply with all federal, state, and city regulations that apply to "Class A"
assisted living. This includes a full-time manager, a 24/7 caregiver, and a fire prevention sprinkler system.
Our caregivers are trained monthly. We also provide
education for families of residents.
Safety, care, and quality of life are the highest priorities at Hazel's Light. We provide excellent meals, a clean house, amenities to improve access to rooms and restrooms, and a family atmosphere.
