Tapp Family Home, Inc. is a licensed Adult Care Residence where care is provided for ambulatory elders who need some supervision and/or assistance with activities of daily living. It is a private home where residents are cared for as family members. Tapp Family Home, Inc. is located in rural Mechanicsville where squirrels, birds, deer and horses can be observed. The home has seven bedrooms, with private and semiprivate rooms available. A large deck off the sunroom allows residents to enjoy the trees, wildlife and fresh air of the country. Our staff is dedicated, caring and trained to take the best care of elders whose capacities may be declining. Our eleven residents are encouraged to enjoy the outdoors by taking walks or just sitting and savoring the pastoral views. Tapp Family Home, Inc. (a non-smoking facility) encourages visitors to come throughout the day, and is fortunate to have several faithful volunteers who lend their musical, spiritual and social talents to our residents on a daily or weekly basis.
