Sullivan Homes are family owned, family run facilities. Our homes are state licensed Community Based Residential Facilities and we provide licensed certified care. We are located in a residential district near the center of Wausau Wisconsin, just three blocks from a shopping mall, churches, a transit station, workshops and various businesses.
As compared to multi-bed facilities, Sullivan Homes mirrors the same certified care in a more personal, “at home atmosphere"; in two, eight bed homes.
Both of our facilities serve ambulatory residents, in a 24/7 staffed setting, who may be developmentally disabled, suffer a mental illness, be frail or elderly, or suffer drug or alcohol related illnesses. We work with families and case management teams to provide the least restrictive environment for each one of our residents, on a case by case basis. Many residents are out and about in the community most days. Clients are carefully grouped for compatibility.
I, John, with my wife Betsy Sullivan began operating Community Based Residential Facilities for ambulatory adults in 1998. We chose to do this in a smaller, eight bed environment. Our two sons are active in the facilities and our small dogs.
